Thank you for visiting my website!

If you are wondering what the heck an engineer is doing being a graphic designer and dance instructor, well, hope I can fulfill your curiosity.

During my senior year at high school, I didn’t have much passion in any particular field which makes choosing a major in college difficult. Since I am always good at math and physics, my uncle recommended me to go into mechanical engineering. One of the best selling point to me, I was told mechanical engineering always has a lot of job opportunities.

After I graduated from WPI, got into a few companies and worked as different types of engineers. From one of the largest US company to a company only has 30 people, all these positions and experience helped me understand more about myself and my ability.

The engineering jobs not only support my living but also my passion, Chinese dance. I started when I was 11, because I was very clumsy and my mom thought it would be a good idea to minimize my careless injuries. Who knew that would become my life-long passion! I started teaching since 1989 when my teacher retired and haven’t stopped since! My aging body doesn’t stop me from dancing. As of now, I am still competing and performing several times a year. Chinese dance to me is an addiction and I have no desire to quit.

It could be the side effect of the combination of engineering and Chinese dance, I have a unique way of thinking. Some people call that strange or creative, depending on how well they know me. Also because of my interest in visual arts and learning new software, I got recruited to be on the marketing team where originally I was hired as an engineer in a technology company. As a part of the marketing team, one of my responsivities is to create content, so I learned different software and industry standard on my own and from the internet. So far all my work has very well received internally and public. Even though I function well in my role, I want to get some proper training to fill in the gaps of things that I wasn’t aware of in the visual art world, that’s when I decided to enroll in a degree program.

So here I am, an engineer and dance instructor with multimedia design skill!
